My experience at San Diego Shores, has taken me to where I am now. Without Shores I would not have been able to accomplish what I have in water polo and life as well. Not only has it taught me some great life lessons but it has given me so many amazing memories. From my first JO' s in Florida that I can vividly remember or a training trip to Greece, that led to a life traveling throughout the world playing water polo. Shores was an experience of a lifetime that has given me memories and friendship's that I will have for years....

San Diego Shores will always be a club that I hold with the highest respect! Shores is a program that started and shaped my future in water polo, allowing me to attend UCLA that won 4 straight NCAA championships, compete on the U.S. National Team which led us to win a World Championship, and live in Spain to play water polo full-time. All of the accolades and opportunities that Shores has helped make happen has brought me an extreme amount of joy, however, the memories and relationships I have attained through Shores are the things that I hold close to my heart and I will cherish forever. Traveling all over california and across country for tournaments, playing against boys, and girls much older brought my team together as friends even though every one of us lived in different parts of San Diego. When it came to talent, the club never allowed me to become complacent with being good for my age, the coaches that took me under their wing encouraged and allowed me in many ways to become better not only in practice but by advising me of how I can train on my own, who I could also play with and the opportunities that were ahead of me. I owe most of what I learned in W.P. through them and they have a huge part in the player and person I am today. I think that a major part of becoming a good player is attending practice, learning in practice, and being challenged. Myself and countless others still comeback to train, hang out at the pool, and see our old teammates and mentors. I consider this club a family of people that absolutely love the sport, enjoy competing, and want to have fun!!!! Tanya Gandy

Take a ball, a net and some water and add the best coaches I have met in any sport from the under 10 on up and you get young adults that have character, confidence, passion for sport, and pride in their team and teammates. San Diego SHORES has offered my kids the unique opportunity to experience Southern California culture at its best with sun, fun, and friends while allowing them to express their natural aggressiveness in a productive way. Thanks to all of the coaches, supporters, and team parents that make SHORES so great. GO SHORES! Pat Scott, P.T., Cert. I have had the experience of playing collegiate water polo under four different college coaches as well as playing on the National Eastern Zone team. My five years playing for Tim Reed taught me the fundamentals and mindset that allowed me to succeed and grow at both the collegiate and national level. In my collegiate career I did not come across a coach as knowledgeable, or as talented in teaching the game to his players, as Tim Reed. His program taught me hard work and discipline; valuable skills that I have used to succeed both in and out of the pool.
